Major Crash Officers are investigating a fatal crash at Belvidere early this morning.

Just after 1.15am on Sunday 4 December police and emergency services responded to reports of a car crashing into a tree on Langhorne Creek Road about 2kms from Milang Road.

Sadly, the driver of the car a 58-year-old woman from Strathalbyn died at the scene.  The passenger, a 27-year-old man, also from Strathalbyn was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Langhorne Creek Road was closed to all traffic but the road has since reopened.
