A woman has died following a collision in Hindmarsh Valley yesterday afternoon.
About 12.10pm on Thursday 8 April, emergency services were called to the intersection of Victor Harbor Road and Hindmarsh Tiers Road after reports of a crash involving a Ford Territory and a Subaru Forester.
Sadly the passenger of the Subaru, a 62-year-old woman from Queensland, died at the scene.
The driver and second passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Flinders Medical Centre where they were treated.
The driver of the Ford, suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash and a young child in the rear of the car was also uninjured. They were both taken to the Flinders Medical Centre.
Victor Harbor Road was closed to all traffic while Major Crash officers investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash but has since reopened.
The woman’s death is the 36th life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to 32 at the same time last year.
