A young driver has died following a crash at Myponga overnight.

Just before 10pm on Sunday 7 March, police and emergency services crews were called to Pages Flat Road after reports a Toyota Corolla had crashed into a tree.

On arrival, they discovered the driver and only occupant in the vehicle, an 18-year-old man from Aldinga Beach deceased.

Major Crash Investigators have attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Pages Flat Road was closed for several hours but was reopened to traffic at around 5am Monday morning.

The young man's death brings the number of lives lost to 22 compared to 18 at the same time in 2020.
