A passenger has died in a fatal crash at Torrens Vale, near Yankalilla, on the Fleurieu Peninsula, overnight.

The single vehicle collision occurred on Parawa Road, Torrens Vale about 3.45am on Saturday 12 July.

Sadly, one of the passengers, a 20-year-old Flinders Park man, died at the scene.

The driver, a 21-year-old Flinders Park man, and other passenger, a 21-year-old Torrensville man, were both taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Major Crash investigators attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Parawa Road was closed in both directions between Range Road and Torrens Vale Road while Major Crash investigators examined the scene but will reopen shortly.

The young man's death is the 42nd life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.
