Art, words, music, food and community events, the biennial Festival Fleurieu has it all.
Running from 3-17 April, the festival opens with Carnival Fleurieu at the Normanville Green and closes with Beach Fleurieu at Normanville beach.
In between, choose from an array of diverse free and paid events and activities that celebrate the district.
Highlights include the art studio showcase; an introduction to astrophotography; Shakespeare in the Pub; brewing demonstrations; coastal soirees; art workshops and much more.
A silent auction will raise funds towards continuation of the festival, with prizes including accommodation packages, hairdressing vouchers, piano lessons, and ferry trips to Kangaroo Island.
Festival chair Desmond Forde says the Festival Board and producer Jude Adams have worked hard to engage young people in the program this year.
“We are excited to showcase a number of events in the program that have been planned by young people themselves.”
He says pulling together the program has been a team effort.
“The dedication and hard work of our volunteers make the Festival possible. I thank them for their unwavering support.”
