Opening night of the Adelaide Festival will be accessible at a distance this year, with a free livestream event at the Victa Cinema.
South Australia’s homegrown contemporary circus powerhouse Gravity & Other Myths (GOM) will ring in the 2022 Adelaide Festival on Saturday 5 March at 8pm.
Country Arts SA has joined with the Adelaide Festival to bring this fun-filled display of human strength and creativity, live streamed from the Adelaide Oval to select cinemas across the state.
GOM’s The Pulse show at last year’s Adelaide Festival featured a full 30 strong troupe teaming up with a mass choir.
This year sees pipes and drums added to the equation, as well as amplification and giant projection scrims and a colossal ascending triangular lighting rig.
They don’t have a castle, but GOM’s inspirational towers and turrets of fit young bodies are equally breathtaking.
This spectacular opening night will be a fun, beautifully produced event for families and friends to marvel at.
The heart-in-mouth display of skill and co-ordination runs for 75 minutes.
The event is free, but bookings are required via Country Arts SA.
