The seventh annual Fleurieu Film Festival returns to the McLaren Vale Visitors Centre with its gala screening on Saturday 4 February.
This year’s theme for competitive short film festival is ‘Gift’, which has been interpreted widely, from physical gifts to others to the metaphorical gifts of life and love.
Organisers says an entertaining blend of comedies, dramas, and documentaries have been selected by industry experts who will also join the audience and filmmakers on the night.
Food and wine by local producers, and music by The Yearlings will stimulate the senses before the award-winning short films are screened at dusk.
The festival continues on Sunday 5 February with a workshop led by Mark Koolmatrie.
It will be a day spent exploring Country, accompanied by an indigenous tourism expert, and making a short film on a smartphone for a special screening.
