The Fleurieu Food Festival will run for the full month of August, with food events large and small across the whole peninsula.
The celebration of food and beverages from paddock to plate unfolds across farms, cafes, restaurants, markets, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and community spaces.
It invites locals and visitors to embark on a food adventure anywhere from the south coast to the southern vales, from the foothills to the lower lakes and everywhere around and in-between.
In her welcoming words, festival ambassador Katie Spain says there is no better time than August to visit the Fleurieu Peninsula for the food festival.
“Each event puts a spotlight on the salt of the earth growers who tend the land and waters to produce a bounty.
“From long lunches in winery and cellar door settings, to twilight festivals, paddock-to-plate feasts, picnics at historic estates, cooking experiences, and masterclasses spanning gin tasting to preserving, there’s something for everyone and every budget.”
