The Royal Adelaide Show as we know it may not be running this year, but goodies from the Fleurieu will still be on offer to participants of the Yellow Brick Road.
Traditionally, the Yellow Brick Road is somewhat of a scavenger hunt, where families follow a map around the showgrounds to visit various stands where they receive freebies to fill a showbag.
With this year’s show cancelled due to Covid-19, show organisers have decided to run the Yellow Brick Road in a different way, with the Yellow Brick Road Trip (#YBR Trip) map available for download from the Show @ Home website, and families encouraged to visit the different supporting businesses throughout the city and the regions in their own time.
The Show @ Home is a digital offering from the show organisers, which includes videos, activities, and a live stream, all with a show flavour, for families to enjoy in lieu of the usual Royal Adelaide Show.
Among brands taking part in the #YBR Trip are iconic Fleurieu businesses, Fleurieu Milk Company and C.
Stop number one on the map is the Adelaide Central Market, where participants can visit Fleurieu Milk Company at Shop 16.
As well as participating in the Yellow Brick Road this year, Myponga-based Fleurieu Milk Company will present a ‘No Show’ Giveaway, which includes a Fleurieu Milk Company Showbag and a $200 Drakes Foodland voucher, with all details on the company’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Other #YBR Trip stops at the Central Market include Barossa Fine Foods at Shop 60 and Charlesworth Nuts at Shop 70.
Stop 14 on the #YBR Trip is the FruChocs Shop, located at 203 Main Road, McLaren Vale. By showing their map, participants can redeem a free 150 gram bag of milk chocolate FruChocs. The Glynde and Hahndorf stores are also participating.
The last day to redeem the #YBR Trip offers is Sunday 13 September.
