Regional Development Australia Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island has announced the latest event in its new Community Upskill Series.

These free online workshops are available to community organisations across the region.

The next, Understanding how crowdfunding works, is offered on Wednesday 6 July from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Crowdfunding, if done well, can be a very effective way to raise funds from a pool of people to support a cause or project. 

A successful crowdfunding campaign requires planning, good implementation and constant involvement throughout the campaign to keep it moving along and gaining momentum. 

Less than 100 per cent effort can lead to failure, even damage an organisation’s reputation and chance at attracting future donors.

This session teaches community organisations how crowdfunding works.
