With the Port Elliot and Strathalbyn Shows cancelled in recent weeks, the Yankalilla show is left as the only Fleurieu show still scheduled to go ahead in 2021.

The Yankalilla, Rapid Bay and Myponga Agricultural and Horticultural Society have their "fingers crossed" that no COVID-19 outbreak or lockdown happens between now and then that could see another year of hard work and planning go to waste.

The 2021 show will be be the 138th, with the first show held in 1882.

Entry forms for the show are now available in the Normanville Shopping Mall and online at yankshow.com

Membership forms are also available on the show’s website.

Annual members can purchase family tickets for $25 or two adult tickets for $20.

As well as the sideshows, rides and and displays of local produce and talent the show will also feature day of entertainment on the shearing shed stage and the main stage.

Other attractions include camel and pony rides, a hands on animal nursery, market stalls, showbags and more delicious food and fairy-floss than you could poke a dagwood dog stick at.

The Yankalilla Show is held at the showgrounds at the corner of Main South Road and Jervois Road, between Yankalilla and Normanville.

The 2020 show was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic, but the show society was able to undertake considerable improvements at the show grounds in the meantime, thanks to a Regional Agricultural Show Development Grant.

The Kangaroo Island Show is also still scheduled for Saturday October 30, with the Parndana Show set to follow on Saturday November 13.
