Police are investigating a fire at Kingscote.

About 5.20pm on Sunday 17 September, police and fire crews were called to a café on Dauncey Street after reports the building was alight.

CFS crews attended and extinguished the blaze which destroyed the café. Two adjoining businesses sustained smoke damage as a result. There were no reports of injuries.

Police Fire Investigators will be travelling to the Island in the morning to determine the cause of the fire.
