Police are investigating a fire that destroyed the netball clubrooms at Aldinga overnight.
Police and fire crews were called to a fire on Quinliven Road, Aldinga at 2.30am on Friday 23 August and found the shed fully alightwith flames coming through the roof.
Four fire trucks with 22 firefighters and one bulk water carrier contained the fire within 20 minutes.
Despite the efforts of fire crews the 6metre x 9metre shed, which housed the clubs office, storeroom and canteen, has been fully destroyed.
No other structures at the sporting complex were impacted by the fire.
Fire Cause Investigators are attending the scene to determine the cause.
Damage has been estimated at approximately $50 000, but club president Samara Bryant told ABC radio that the loss of memorabilia was priceless.
“Everything has gone, our history, our trophies have all melted.”
The Aldinga Netball Club is part of the Southern Hills Netball Association. Its semi finals are due to be played on August 24.
