Police have arrested two men after guns and drugs were found at Lonsdale yesterday.

About 2.30pm on Wednesday 19 July, Southern District Police were assisted by STAR Group officers in a search of an industrial premises at Lonsdale.

As a result of the search, police located a pistol, sawn off shotgun and ammunition. They also located prescribed glassware and chemicals consistent with the manufacture of amphetamine and prescribed equipment used in the production of hydroponically cultivated cannabis.

A 29-year-old man from Seaford Rise and a 29-year-old man from Bedford Park were charged with a number of drug and firearms offences. They were refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
