A man has been issued with a fine after a report of fireworks being set off in Willunga.
About 9.15pm on Friday 18 December, police received information that fireworks were being set off at Willunga Hill by a man in a White Holden Station Wagon.
A member of the public called police and followed the vehicle after the fireworks were set off and continued to provide police the location of the vehicle.
Police stopped the vehicle on Main South Road Old Noarlunga and located fireworks in the vehicle.
A 35-year-old man from Springton was issued with a fine of $750 for use and possession of fireworks and the fireworks were seized.
Police remind the public of the dangers of the use of illegal fireworks, they pose a significant threat of injury to the user and innocent bystanders and can also cause fires.
Any suspicious or reckless behaviour increasing the risk of fire should reported to police on 131 444.
