Fleurieu Beer Festival forges ahead

Willunga will host the largest regional celebration of local craft beer with the return of the Fleurieu Beer Festival on Saturday 23 January.

Following on from the sell-out success of its inaugural event, the one-day festival will present an expanded line-up of ten local breweries and a smorgasbord of fun-filled entertainment, live music and food.

The afternoon will include a chance to meet the brewer, enjoy live music and browse the local stalls at the Willunga Recreation Park.

Visitors can share an afternoon with friends sampling the Fleurieu’s finest brews, fantastic local food burgers, BBQ, coffee and ice cream for dessert.

Willunga’s own local brewers, South Coast Brewing Company and Shifty Lizard Brewery, will attend the event, along with Goodieson Brewery, Swell Brewing, Mephisto Brewing, Smiling Samoyed Brewery, Fork Tree Brewery, Vale Ale and Victor’s Place.

Willunga Recreation Park is a multi-purpose complex maintained for the use of local residents.

A volunteer committee manages the complex on behalf of the community and holds many events to raise funds to keep it running.

Their Almond Blossom festival was twice thwarted by COVID-19, but it’s full steam ahead for the Fleurieu Beer Festival.

Tickets may be purchased online only. Entry costs $20, which includes a souvenir beer cup.
