The SACA Representative Carnivals for under 14 boys and under 12 boys Cricket were held last week around Adelaide and the Barossa Valley. Fleurieu & Districts entered sides in each age group with the under 12’s winning two out of their four matches and the under 14’s winning one of their four clashes. 

In the under 12’s, Jack Madigan (Onkaparinga Cricket Club) scored 60 runs at an average of 20.00 to lead the Fleurieu team in runs while Port Elliot’s Hamish Donlan had a great week with the ball to snare 11 wickets at an average of 3.45 to lead all bowlers for the week. In the under 14’s, Hahndorf’s Noah Dunn scored 79 runs at 39.50 while James Bedford (Stirling) took eight wickets at 9.88 to lead the Fleurieu team in runs and wickets respectively.

The Adelaide Turf Cricket Association (ATCA) had an excellent week with the under 14’s winning the  grand final following a tight 16-run win over Barossa & Light while the ATCA under 12’s had a convincing 84-run victory over the South East combination.

The under 16 boys and under 16 girls carnivals get underway tomorrow (11 January) with matches being played in Adelaide, the Barossa Valley and venues such as Eudunda, Kapunda, Saddleworth and Mallala.
