Fleurieu Peninsula tourism operators were prominent at the state Tourism Awards on 4 November, with 21 finalists.
Beach Huts Middleton, the Willunga Farmers Market and Naiko Retreat at Deep Creek were awarded gold medals.
Beach Huts Middleton and the Willunga Farmers Market were also inducted into the tourism Hall of Fame.
Silver medals were awarded to The Currant Shed, Kimbolton Wines, Old Coach Road Estate and Make Trax Adventure Hire.
Naiko Retreat also took out a bronze medal, along with Beresford Estate and Tribal Expertise Facility.
Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Executive Dylan Beach has congratulated all local finalists and winners, saying the awards night was a real celebration for the entire tourism industry.
“We are so proud that the Fleurieu region excels in providing outstanding visitor experiences.
“We thank all the operators that have worked extremely hard in the past 18 months to keep going through one of the toughest periods.”
The Gold medal winners will represent the Fleurieu and the state at the national awards on the Sunshine Coast next March.
