Fleurieu spirits take out trophies

Two Fleurieu distilleries have won top trophies at the 2025 Australian International Spirits Awards.


McLaren Vale’s Never Never Distilling Co took out two awards, Best Fruit/Wine/Grape Gin and Best Design.


Goolwa’s Fleurieu Distillery took out the award for Best Blended Malt Whisky in collaboration with NSW-based Black Gate Distillery.


The winning spirit was was described as a collaborative triumph. “Country to Coast 6 is a beautifully integrated blend showcasing the diversity of South Australian terroir.”



Never Never Distilling Co won the trophies and gold medals for its Ginache gin, described as an inspired blend of gin botanicals and rich grenache grapes and for its Triple Juniper gin.


It also gained gold for its Banded South Australian Blended Malt Gold Whisky and seven silver medals in other gin categories.


As well as winning gold for trophy-winning Country to Coast #6 whisky, Fleurieu Distillery won two further gold medals and one silver medal and were one of four distilleries recognised with the Melbourne Royal Consistency of Excellence Award.


McLaren Vale’s Ginny Pig Distillery was also awarded several medals, while Adelaide-based Prohibition Liquor Co was named Champion Australian Distiller.
