World Atlas has recognised four Fleurieu towns as among South Australia’s prettiest.
Victor Harbor, Strathalbyn, McLaren Vale and Goolwa made the list of the nine prettiest small towns, withhistoric character and a strong local culture that offer an easy way to experience the region’s spirit.
Victor Harbor is described as one of the state’s most picturesque towns, noted for its stunning coastal views, whale watching and focus on indigenous culture, whaling and railway history.
Strathalbyn is singled out for its historic character, with country-style markets, historic buildings and a gateway to wine country.
A standout for food and wine, McLaren Vale gains attention for its blend of scenery, wine and food that gives the town its appeal.
Beaches, dunes and historic sites are among the attractions of Goolwa, showcasing the town’s maritime history, as well as unique river access to the Coorong.
