Les Burdett OAM will be guest speaker at the Royal Flying Doctor Service Fleurieu support group dinner On Tuesday 16 November.

The best-known oval curator from Adelaide to India, Les Burdett has earned the respect and admiration of cricket fans worldwide.

An honorary life member of the South Australian Cricket Association, his name appears on its honour board along with Sir Donald Bradman and Ian Chappell.

The humble groundskeeper has been awarded the Australian Sports Medal, the Australian Centenary Medal and the Medal of the Order of Australia.

The dinner will be at South Lakes Golf Club, In Goolwa, at 7pm; tickets cost $45 and include a two course meal.
