A high range drink driver was caught in Noarlunga Downs last night after forgetting where he lived.

About 5.15pm Monday 28 November police were called to Lovelock Drive after a resident reported that man driving a Subaru had parked in his driveway, got out of the car and tried to enter his house.

The resident recognised the man as someone who lived in the area and suspected the man was intoxicated and had parked at the wrong address.

Police attended the scene and breath tested the, 55-year-old local man, he allegedly returned a positive result of 0.269, over five times the limit!

He was reported for drink driving and lost his licence on the spot for 12 months; his car was towed from the scene and impounded for 28 days. He was be summonsed to Court at a later date.
