A former Fleurieu Peninsula teacher who pleaded guilty to Maintaining an Unlawful Sexual Relationship with a child was today sentenced by the District Court to four years and two months jail, with a non-parole period of two years and four months.

Matthew John Freeborn appeared in the Adelaide Magistrate's Court in October last year and pleaded guilty to maintaining the relationship with the child over a seven month period between May and December in 2016.
