Connections between Country, culture and community will be celebrated at Aldinga Library on Thursday 19 March as part of Harmony Week.

Respected Ngarrindjeri artist and cultural storyteller Mark Koolmatrie will share knowledge about the traditional uses of the natural environment, highlighting the importance of native plants for food, medicine and wellbeing.

This session offers an opportunity to learn from First Nations perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of how caring for Country supports sustainable living and cultural continuity.

Harmony Week runs from 16 to 22 March and coincides with the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

It is Australia’s annual celebration of diversity, bringing together people from all different backgrounds in a spirit of inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging.

This free event will run from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and is for ages 18+. Bookings are essential via Eventbrite.
