The Fleurieu Community Foundation received an Easter boost with a $5000 donation from the Victor Harbor Farmers Market.
Market chair Neil Hosking presented the donation to Mark Cox at the market in Grosvenor Gardens on Saturday 3 April.
The Fleurieu Community Foundation was established in 2010 with a broad vision to build a stronger and more resilient Fleurieu community.
It offers financial assistance for young people to undertake education or training and to stay involved in community sport.
Neil Hosking says the market is a not-for-profit organisation that makes donations to local groups or charities every year.
“The Committee looked at the amazing work Mark and the Fleurieu Community Foundation does in our local community, and voted unanimously to donate this money to them.”
The foundation will have a stall at the market during Homelessness Week in early August.
Full details of Fleurieu Community Foundation grants and how to get involved or donate are on the website.
The Victor Harbor Farmers Market operates every Saturday from 8am to 12.30pm in Grosvenor Gardens, Victor Harbor.
