Older people in the Fleurieu Peninsula region and groups and individuals supporting them are invited to a free forum in Victor Harbor on Friday 25 October.

State government Minister for Seniors and Ageing Well Nat Cook MP will host the forum at the Victor Harbour Bowls Club from 1.30pm to 3pm.

It offers the opportunity to discuss issues of importance, speak directly with the Minister and explore the possibilities for ageing well on the Fleurieu.

Topics to be canvassed include:

• Living and Ageing Well - Community Perception Review Survey.
• The state’s next Ageing Plan .
• Seniors Card Program - benefits and opportunities.
• Role of the Adult Safeguarding Unit.
• Addressing cost of living pressures.
• Government concessions available .
• Increasing community participation through grants.

Numbers are limited so booking is essential; complimentary tea and biscuits will be available.
