Outdoor cinema comes to the Vale this summer with Fox Creek Wines setting up its big screen from tonight, Friday 16 December.

While the screen will offer live sport across the season, in the week leading up to Christmas everyone can get into the spirit with free festive movies.

Along with the family-friendly program, there will also be live music and the outdoor bar and kitchen will be open.

Screening at 6pm tonight is The Grinch, followed by The Holiday at 8pm.

On Saturday 17 December, solo acoustic artist Leaton Rose will perform from 1pm to 4pm.

Minions: The Rise of Gru will screen at 6pm, followed by Home Alone 2 - Lost in New York at 8pm.

The 6pm movie on Sunday 18 December is Pokemon Detective Pikachu, with Johnny English Strikes Again screening at 8pm.

Santa will visit the cellar door verandah next Friday 23 December from 4pm, while Elston Kulbach will provide the live music.

The Bad Guys will screen at 11am, with Elf at 6pm and Love Actually at 8pm.

The festive fun will finish up on Christmas Eve, Saturday 24 December with two more family Christmas movies, 8-Bit Christmas at 11am and Polar Express at 6pm, with an all-time favourite cult classic for the adults, Die Hard, screening at 8pm.

Take along a picnic rug, pillow or beanbag to get comfy for the movies, but no BYO food or drink is permitted.
