Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) will offer free Stay Afloat lifejacket clinics at boat ramps and events across the state this summer, including three on the Fleurieu.
DIT staff will be on hand with the clinic trailer, travelling Adelaide and surrounding areas to upgrade personal flotation devices; no bookings are required.

The clinics will cover how to wear and maintain life jackets; safety gear; and understanding emergency communications.
There will also be an opportunity to ask any other boating safety questions.
Participants can take along life jackets for help with servicing, including some free replacement parts.
Marine Safety SA can also help understand the different types of lifejackets, and how to clean, size and fit a lifejacket.
The Wirrina clinic will take place prior to the event briefing for the Game Fishing Club of South Australia'Wirrina Tuna Slam'.
DIT has also established no-cost boat launching for the Wirrina Tuna Slam and while Cape Jervis works are being completed.
