Parents and those in the community who work with young people are invited to a free seminar on how to talk to them about alcohol and other drugs and how to stay safe.

Encounter Youth will present evidence-based information and strategies to support young people next Monday 15 May in Goolwa and on Monday 22 May in Strathalbyn.

The sessions will be relaxed and interactive, with local refreshments offered.

Speakers aim to answer all curly questions and leave participants feeling confident to have an open conversation about alcohol and other drugs with the young people in their care.

Encounter Youth is SA’s leading alcohol and other drug education program.

The Goolwa session will be held from 6pm to 7.30pm at Goolwa Oval Recreation Precinct; book a place via Eventbrite.

The Strathalbyn session will be held from 6.30pm to 8pm at Tyndale Christian School.

For those unable to attend there will be an online session offered on Wednesday 31 May from 6pm to 7.30pm; book via Eventbrite.
