Regional Development Australia (RDA) Adelaide Hills Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island is about to launch its Community Upskill Program.

This is a free skills training program for community groups that has been offered over the past two years.

RDA says participants have benefitted from training sessions covering important topics such as governance, legal structures, effective meeting management and leadership skills.

“The immense contributions that community groups make to the liveability of our region is greatly valued by us, and this program aims to maximise their operations and effectiveness.“

State government funding has enabled this year's program to be expanded to include face-to-face learning.

RDA will collaborate with the Leaders Institute of South Australia to deliver the program for 2023. 

It is seeking feedback from community group leaders and volunteers to help shape this year’s program.

Members of community groups are asked to take a few minutes to complete an online survey to help finalise the program.
