A taste of French film will be on show at the Victa Cinema as part of 33rd Alliance Française French Film Festival.
The 2022 festival comprises more than 42 films and screens in Adelaide from 24 March to 26 April.
For the first time a taste of the festival will show in Victor Harbor for two days on 4 and 11 April, with four films screened on each day.
The films to show at the Victa Cinema will be The Kitchen Brigade; La Traviata, My Brothers and I; Lost Illusions; and Farewell Mr Haffman.
Full details of the films can be found on the Alliance Française French Film Festival website.
Tickets are available from the box office at regular cinema prices. The local program is also available from the Victa Cinema.
Boosting the local connection, Fleurieu-based film maker Scott Hicks has been announced as South Australian Ambassador for the Alliance Française French Film Festival 2022.
"I look forward to celebrating and discussing the profound impact of French cinema on global culture, as well as for me as a filmmaker", he says.
Last year’s festival saw record attendances despite the pandemic, and this year will again present a line-up of contemporary French cinema covering a wide spectrum of genres, with several Australian and international premieres.
With four directors and many rising-star actors making their feature film debut, the festival continues its commitment to celebrate the next generation of artists creating a new blueprint for French cinema.
