Get creative with new entry dates for the Port Elliot Show

With the Port Elliot Show delayed until 12 and 13 November there is now extra time and opportunity to get creative and show off your talents.

Entry dates for indoor exhibitions have been extended until 21 October, with lots of time in the school holidays to get the kids working on displays.

Children (and big kids at heart) can enter the scarecrow competition, most dilapidated pair of boots, creative use of boots or decorated bike competition with no entry fees for these sections.

Floral Art entries have also been extended, as well as home produce, including eggs for those with productive chickens.

Speaking of chickens, if you have a handsome rooster or chic hen, then consider entering them for the poultry section (entries there have been extended until 31 October).

The literary / creative writing dates have also been rescheduled to 21 October, with sections for adults and juniors sponsored by South Seas Books and Trading in Port Elliot.

If the kids are still looking for things to make, there’s also craft and lego sections they can enter in junior sections for the under 13s. Get the toilet rolls, paper plates, glitter and paint and set them going until 21 October.

The hotly contested photography section has also been extended until 21 October, with $100 on offer for the Image of the Show from the South Coast Camera Club.
