Plan SA wants community feedback on proposed changes to planning rules that will better reflect bushfire hazards across the state.
As well as updating bushfire hazard mapping across the state, the draft Code Amendment aims to put policy in place to minimise bushfire risk on people, property, infrastructure, the environment and economy.
It wants to introduce new rules to help save lives and build more climate-resilient communities.
Plan SA is holding drop-in information sessions around the state, including one in Willunga on Tuesday 20 February.
It will offer the opportunity to talk to staff and ask questions, share ideas or concerns and provide feedback.
The drop-in session will be at The Willunga Hub from 4pm to 7pm; find out more and register to attend via Eventbrite.
There will also be an online information session to learn more about updating South Australia’s bushfire hazard mapping and planning rules on Monday 19 February from 11am to 12noon.
At the end of the session there will be an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback; find out more and register to take part via Eventbrite.
The deadline for feedback is 5pm on Friday 8 March; for full details of the State-wide Bushfire Hazards Overlay Code Amendment and how to share feedback go to the YourSay website.
