Getting rid of Gazanias

Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu and Alexandrina Council have partnered to offer a free information session on gazania management.

It will be hosted by the Clayton Bay Nursery and Environment Group on Thursday 21 November from 1pm to 2pm.

Gazanias are escaped garden plants and highly invasive weeds, which readily establish in sand dunes and on roadside verges.

Their high demand for nutrients and moisture means they crowd out native plants and impact on biodiversity.

The workshop is designed to help plant lovers manage the weed in gardens and roadside verges.

It will cover effective control methods, native plant alternatives and helpful resources.

Light refreshments will be provided; register to attend via Eventbrite.
