The Victor Harbor library will once again participate in the ‘Give the Gift of Reading’ program this Christmas.
Books can spark a child’s imagination and help develop focus, concentration, social skills and communication skills, as well as opening up new worlds.
Generous readers can donate a new children’s book - for children aged between 0-18 years - to the library.
These books will then be wrapped and distributed by Grandparents for Grandchildren SA and Fleurieu Families to children in need just in time for Christmas.
Donated book gifts can be dropped at the library from now until Saturday 3 December.
Located at the Civic Centre on Bay Road, the library is open Monday and Tuesday 9am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6pm, Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 12noon.
