Go slow in central Victor

Speed limits in the Mainstreet Precinct of Victor Harbor have been dropped to 30km/h.

The City of Victor Harbor announced last week that the Department for Infrastructure and Transport had approved changes to speed limits and traffic control devices on roads forming the Victor Harbor Mainstreet Precinct.

The new 30km/h speed limit applies to Stuart Street, Ocean Street, McKinlay Street, Railway Terrace and Coral Street.

The council says the reduced speed limit will increase safety for all road users and support a pedestrian-friendly space.

New speed signage has been installed by the City of Victor Harbor.
