Local author Wendy Seaman will talk about her first novel, The Quiet Room, in the Victor Harbor library next Wednesday 15 December.
Communicating with the dead is nothing new for seven-year-old empath Angie Regan. Becoming one of them is another matter entirely.
In the spring of 1972, an encounter with a magpie leads Angie into the arms of a killer.
Locked up in the cellar of a rundown manor, it is the dead who seek her out.
Drawn into the labyrinthine world of the afterlife, where the past, present and future blend together, an old family secret threatens to bury Angie for good.
An avid reader, Wendy Seaman never entertained the thought of writing a novel herself until a short story writing course opened the door to a world of creative writing.
The Encounter Bay author says Angie’s story was so persistent that it just had to be written.
She is currently working on her second novel as part of an anthology series.
Her session starts at 1pm sharp and books will be available for purchase and signing. Book a place via Eventbrite.
