Local communities in the Fleurieu region and beyond have the chance to benefit from up to $50,000 in funding, thanks to the Thriving Communities Fund. This initiative is designed to help build strong, sustainable communities that are great places to live and work.
It offers valuable financial support for projects that aim to enhance the quality of life, grow local leadership, attract skilled workers, and stimulate regional economies.
Eligible projects can range from building new infrastructure and purchasing essential equipment to running community events or offering training programs that improve wellbeing and foster community engagement. The broad scope of the fund allows organisations to tailor projects that address local needs while creating a lasting impact.
"By supporting a variety of projects, the Thriving Communities Fund is helping regional towns and cities build resilience and shape brighter futures," a spokesperson says. "Whether you're planning a new community hub, organising a local festival, or providing job training to improve employability, this is a valuable opportunity to get the resources you need."
Applications are open now and will close at 5pm on Thursday October 24, unless the available funding is fully allocated before that date. With the demand expected to be high, applicants are encouraged to act quickly.
