Great Southern Football League is back Saturday!Langhorne Creek celebrate winning both the 'A' and 'B' grade flags in 2020.

After a truncated nine-game season in 2020 due to COVID-19, the Great Southern Football League (GSFL) is looking for a full and exciting 18-game fixture in 2021. Langhorne Creek defeated ‘surprise-packet’ Encounter Bay by 61 points in the Grand Final to win their third GSFL ‘A’ grade flag in a row last season and the Hawks will again be the team to beat. Willunga, McLaren and Mount Compass were the other teams to play finals in 2020.

Mount Compass could be a big improver in 2021 with former Noarlunga star Nick Mott set for a full season after playing just six games last year. Gun forward Tom Pinyon returns from a stint at Norwood in the SANFL while in a major recruiting coup, the Bulldogs have enticed former Adelaide Crows and Sydney Swans player Lewis Johnston to the Kennel.

Yankalilla and Strathalbyn missed the finals by just one game in 2020 and they will look to go at least one step better in 2021, while Myponga/Sellicks, Victor Harbor and Goolwa/Port Elliot will hope for sharp improvement to push for a top-five spot.

Round 1 (Home team named first)

Langhorne Creek v Yankalilla

Mount Compass v Goolwa/Port Elliot

Myponga/Sellicks v McLaren

Strathalbyn v Encounter Bay

Victor Harbor v Willunga
