The Great Southern Football League (GSFL) resumes this Saturday (19/6) following the Queen’s Birthday long weekend break with some interesting games in round 10. The competition is taking shape halfway through the season with the ‘Big 3’ in Mount Compass, Willunga and Langhorne Creek opening up a gap on the rest. McLaren, who are the only team to beat Mount Compass, sit in fourth and are locked in a battle with Encounter Bay and Strathalbyn for a finals spot. The bottom four are effectively, if not mathematically, out of the finals race but there’s still plenty to play for as the Tigers, Magpies and Kangaroos search for more wins, while Myponga/Sellicks are still hunting down their maiden victory in 2021.
Ladder - after Round 9
Mount Compass 16, Willunga 15, Langhorne Creek 15, McLaren 12, Encounter Bay 10, Strathalbyn 10, Yankalilla 6, Goolwa/Port Elliot 4, Victor Harbor 2, Myponga/Sellicks 0.
