Great Southern Football set to resume

The Great Southern Football League (GSFL) will begin their season on Saturday 11 July (Men) and Sunday 12 July (Women). The season will consist of nine minor rounds plus finals. The decision was made following a meeting of GSFL delegates on Wednesday (10 June). In more good news, Yankalilla have decided to play in 2020 after originally withdrawing from the competition earlier this year. Here is a statement released by the club yesterday.....

"Valued members, sponsors and players after extensive negotiations with all the key stake holders within the GSFL it is with great excitement that we can announce that we will be resuming footy in a competitive capacity in 2020. Due to a mammoth amount of work undertaken by our committee and in consultation with the GSFL and yourselves we have been successful in negotiating an equitable outcome to allow us to head down this path. We are sure that you will all have many questions and we will attempt to answer them all but rest assured more information will be put forward as we have it on hand. We would like to thank the GSFL for their help in being able to help us through all of the necessary requirements. Thank you for your understanding and patience and go the mighty Tigers in 2020."
