GSFL take the honours against SFL in junior representative matchesGreat Southern Football League defeated Southern Football League by two points in the under 16 girls representative match at McLaren Vale last night.

The Great Southern Football League (GSFL) has defeated the Southern Football League (SFL) by two points in the inaugural under 16 girls match under lights at McLaren Vale last night. GSFL led by two points at quarter time and after a goal apiece in the second term, the margin was still two points at halftime. Great Southern extended their lead out to eight points at the last change which set up an exciting final quarter which saw Southern kick the only goal of the term but they just fell short of victory. The final scores were GSFL 2.2 (14) to SFL 2.0 (12).


The under 15 boys match between the GSFL academy and the SFL academy saw the GSFL academy boys score a big win, 14.10 (94) to 2.2 (14). GSFL led by 20 points at quarter time, 53 points at halftime, 61 points at three quarter time before eventually winning by 80 points.
