Run, walk or meander slowly, whatever your preferred pace you can have your say on the District Council of Yankalilla’s Tracks and Trails Strategic Action Plan.
Council wants to hear about the trails people use now and those they would like to see developed.
The plan will provide a vision for recreation trails in the Yankalilla Council area, including prioritising upgrades to existing trails and proposing new trails and areas for further investigation.
It will be informed by community input as well as current trend and participation data and will identify priority actions to make improvements to existing trails and expand the network of land and marine-based recreational trails.
A trail is defined as an established route, path or track that can be used for non-motorised recreation, such as walking, running, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding.
Trails typically have unsealed or natural surfaces and pass through natural areas, parks, reserves or urban areas.
They may be short distance, long distance or may be interconnected sections of trail linked and navigated with signage and maps.
The council has asked residents, community groups, organisations and visitors to the Fleurieu Coast to contribute to the bigger picture of its trails network - now and into the future.
Complete the survey or drop a pin on the map to tell the council about the trails you use, what you like about them and how they can be improved.
Consultation is open until 31 May and submissions will then be used to prepare a draft report to go to a council meeting for consideration.
