The City of Onkaparinga has called for community input on whether to allow an Easter Block Party to be held in Moana next April.
The council proposes to grant a short term Licence to SA Outdoor Events Pty Ltd for the exclusive use of community land at Nashwauk Reserve to host the party.
The full licence term is proposed to be issued from 6 to 11 April 2023, but event organisers would only have exclusive use of the land during the event dates from 7 – 10 April.
The public would still be able to access the reserve on the days on either side of the event, 6 and 11 April.
According to the council, a Risk Management Plan and Traffic Management will be in place to manage community safety and the licenced area.
SA Police and qualified traffic marshals will control and organise the flow of traffic during the event.
Full details of the event and its location are available online and the council welcomes feedback on the proposal until Saturday 5 December.
