Residents of and visitors to can have a say on a new management plan for the parks of eastern Kangaroo Island.
The plan has been developed to outline long-term objectives and strategies to manage 11 conservation parks across eastern KI.
It outlines management for Baudin, Beatrice Islet, Busby Islet, Cape Willoughby, Cygnet Estuary, Dudley, Lashmar, Lesueur, Nepean Bay, Pelican Lagoon and Simpson conservation parks.
Community feedback will help shape how the parks are managed into the future.
The draft plan has been developed with input from key stakeholders, volunteers and experts with an interest in eastern Kangaroo Island parks.
Download the draft plan or access a hard copy from the Department for Environment and Water at the Natural Resources Centre in Adelaide or the office in Kingscote.
To give feedback visit the DEW website to complete a survey or email a submission with the subject heading Eastern Kangaroo Island. Consultation closes 1 March 2024.
The final plan will be submitted to the Minister for Climate, Environment and Water for adoption.
