McLaren Vale residents and businesses have been asked to give feedback on changes proposed by the event organisers for the 2026 McLaren Vale marathon. 

Event organisers Great Southern Runs made changes to the race route for the 2025 event, held on 1 June, to include sections of Main Road.

Next year’s event will be held on 31 May and the proposed changes will require extended road closures.

Details of the proposed closures and a map can be found on the City of Onkaparinga Your Say website, along with a feedback form. 

The council wants to hear about any positive or negative impacts during the 2025 event and any concerns or potential impacts for next year’s event, prior to granting a permit.
