A network of mountain bike trails on the southern Fleurieu is a step closer with the City of Victor Harbor in the final consultation stage on its draft mountain bike strategy.
The council is calling for feedback on the strategy, which it says will guide the planning, development and activation of a mountain bike trail network in the region.
It features nine signature projects and approximately 85 kilometres of trails.
The council estimates that implementing the strategy will generate $23 million in benefits for the region over a 10 year period.
This includes regional income and health benefits, as well as 15 to 25 jobs.
The proposed Victor Harbor mountain bike trail network would link up with others across the peninsula.
Full details of the strategy and the survey to provide feedback can be found on the YourSay website.
The closing date for feedback is Friday 22 October .
