Have a say on Victor's urban growth

The City of Victor Harbor is reviewing its Urban Growth Management Strategy to guide south coast development over the next 25 years.

It says the population of Victor Harbor and the surrounding suburbs is expected to grow by around 8,000 people in this period.

The council wants to manage this growth to build a thriving community with a strong economy, without losing local character.

The review will include three stages of community consultation starting with collecting feedback on several possible options.

The council has prepared a discussion paper to generate ideas and conversations.

It covers information and options across eight key themes that underpin growth planning.

Community drop-in sessions will offer the opportunity to ask questions and give opinions on the services and facilities that Victor Harbor will need over the next 25 years.

The three sessions will be held at the Coral Street Art Space on Thursday 27 June from 10am to 1pm and from 4pm to 7pm; and on Saturday 29 June from 10am to 1pm.

There is also a survey available online, or in hard copy at the Civic Centre, which should be completed by 5pm on Friday 19 July.
