The SA Whale Centre have confirmation of the Southern Right Whale mother and calf being sighted at Watson Gap this morning at around 10:30am. The pair were viewed breaching, blowing and doing flipper waves. Last seen heading East. It's a bit chillier today so rug up if you're heading out for a look!
According to the centre, it is still incredibly important to maintain social distancing when out whale watching this season and to keep washing or sanitising your hands whenever possible. The centre encourages everyone to get out and about to have a look for whales but urges the public to do it safely and respectfully.
Keep your eyes peeled and if you do see a whale, remember to call the SA Whale Centre on 08 8551 0750, send them a message on their Facebook page or enter a report online at www.sawhalecentre.com.au.
