Help name new southern coastal driveSellicks Beach

The City of Onkaparinga is developing a new tourist drive to showcase the amazing coastline from O’Sullivan Beach to Sellicks Hill.

The drive will take in 31kms of pristine coastline including beaches and coastal villages, each offering their own unique vibe as well as key visitor experiences.

Mayor Erin Thompson has put out a call for the public to help name the drive.

“We’ve always known our city’s 31-kilometre stretch of stunning coastline is among the best in the country, but developing a coastal tourist drive from O’Sullivan Beach to Sellicks Hill will help further put McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast on every visitor’s bucket list.

“The tourist drive will take in our much-loved beaches and coastal villages—each with their own unique vibes—as well as key visitor experiences.

“The aim is to identify a name that resonates with our key visitor markets of intra and interstate travellers, as an increase in visitors will boost our unique local business community along the coast and surrounds.

“We want visitors to discover our stunning coastline but most of all, to stop, wander and spend in our coastal villages and main streets.

“We also want to encourage people to holiday in and explore their own backyards as we continue to emerge from the impacts of COVID-19.
